As we transition into the first trading week of February, we leave behind the most optimistic January in over 30 years punctuated by a dovish Fed, end of a US government shutdown and a thawing in trade wars. Yet, aside from averting deeper fundamental threats, there has been little tangible improvements across the global markets. Will speculative enthusiasm overlook this deficit?
